born in osaka, japan, noe kuremoto graduated in fine art from central saint martins college of art. she works and lives in london and makes everything by hand in her east london studio using simple tools. her playful sculptural work takes the form of functional wares. and mix child-like simplicity with contemporary sophistication by incorporating noe’s background in fine art and design with her cultural heritage. noe kuremoto shares the traditional japanese view that spirits are everywhere, especially in nature – for noe the truth of our universe can be found in the wilderness.
